6th Annual Share the Cross

This past Sunday, October 19th, the Knights of Columbus sponsored the 6th Annual Share the Cross event. Parishioners, families, and Knights alike joined in walking the 10 mile long Sugar River trail, sharing in carrying a cross along the way. The group stopped 14 times, and at each stop prayed a Station of the Way of the Cross with prayer intentions laid at the foot of the Cross. At the end of the trip and spiritual reflection, the Knights provided a cookout for those who walked. Good cheer was shared for the evening.

In the meantime, a separate group of young adults joined Blaise O'Mara, the architect behind "Share the Cross," on a climb up Mt. Garfield with their own Cross. These sister events have been working to support seminarians and other causes since its inception six years ago.

While this was a terrific and spiritually formative event for all who joined, we want to thank everyone who donated this year! This year, we raised more than $3,000, which will be split between pro-life causes, seminarians, and local food banks.
